Rep. Harper's Statement on Passage of Homeland Security Appropriations Act

Jan 14, 2015 Issues: Defense & Security, Immigration

Washington DC- U.S. Rep. Gregg Harper (R-Miss.) made the following remarks today after the House of Representatives passed the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act.

“Today, with my support, the House passed legislation to block President Obama’s executive amnesty plan. President Obama’s immigration plan is a clear example of executive overreach, and I believe Congress must do all it can to stop these actions. This legislation continues to secure our borders and provides the resources necessary to protect all Americans. I hope the Republican-controlled Senate will also pass it and send it to the President’s desk,” Harper said.
